Sierra Nevada Ski Resort is located in the Sierra Nevada National Park, being the southernmost ski resort in Europe and the highest in Spain.
It is located 27 km from the city of Granada along the A-395 road and 90 km from the nearest coastal city, Motril, being possible to enjoy the mountains and the beach on the same day if you wanted to.
Famous for its long winter seasons (December to May), its good snow, its pleasant climate and for being the ski resort with the most sunny days per season, Sierra Nevada has a skiing terrain of 110 km distributed among 21 ski lifts, 131 slopes for all the Levels and with the highest vertical rise in Spain, with 1200 m. Within the total of slopes, 19 are green slopes (easy), 45 are blue slopes (intermediate), 53 are red slopes (difficult), 7 are black slopes (expert) and 7 are Snowpark slopes to practice freestyle.
Sierra Nevada is a widely recognized touristic destination and chosen by thousands of tourists a year thanks to its good climate, its great infrastructure, its wide and diverse skiing terrain suitable for all levels, its nightlife, the Andalusian cuisine and above all the warmth of their people.
Next to the station is the Pradollano village, where you can find all kinds of services from public and covered parking, restaurants, hotels, bars, commercial stores, banks, supermarkets, among others.
Pradollano is at 2100 meters above sea level, this being the level from which the main ski lifts start. The maximum ski height is given by the Veleta peak, the fourth highest summit in Spain, located at 3400 meters above sea level. Also located in this National Park is the Mulhacen Peak (3480 m), the highest in the Iberian Peninsula.
The station opens its doors daily from Monday to Sunday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Also adding a different and fun option with night skiing on Thursdays and Saturdays from 7:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.
